Kepong Badminton Club (referred formally as Kepong BC) was founded in early 2014 as an evolution from Powerful Badminton Academy, located in Powerful Sports Arena, No : 2, Jalan 5/32A, Off Batu 6½, Jalan Kepong, 52100, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The academy was founded by Ms. Candy Bee, owner and Director of Powerful Group of Companies with one single notion in mind, to unearth and nurture new talents of badminton players. Prior to transformation, Kepong BC had joined and won multiple privately held local and international tournaments, from our neighboring regions such as Thailand and Indonesia to as far as China.
The club is also prominent in Kepong vicinity as one of the powerhouse for upcoming and new talents, both in scouting developing these talents. The club is chaired by the Miss Candy herself, in line with the clubs objective to develop and nurture the local talent pool in the area of Kepong.
Kepong BC has a wide range of future planning, inclusive of growing internationally as a successful organization and to become a benchmark when the name badminton is mentioned. As of July 2014, the club has signed many talented players from Malaysia and overseas to represent the club in major tournaments, with Purple League in priority.
